Erro, wakes up in a desolate and mysterious digital world with no memory as to who he is or how he got here. Taking it upon himself to journey forth and find the answers to all his questions, he will encounter many strange characters and if it comes to it, battle for survival. Erro may soon find out he may not be as welcome here as he might believe.

ByteBlaster is a top-down action-adventure game with light puzzle elements in which you help Erro unlock the different areas (or zones) of the Simulation on the way to the final encounter with the Simulation's most powerful beings. Along the way, try to take your time and learn more about Erro's place in this world; you might just find clues to Erro's mystery.

Welcome to the simulation! Deep in a vast and endless digital void, are pockets of civilization, populated by beings called programs who roam aimlessly, without purpose, deprived of their dreams bestowed upon them by their creators. With eternity's passing, a new visitor from above just might shake things up?

The programs of this world live to serve and dream of the opportunity to help others. There's just some important things that Erro might need to help them with. It seems that they can't quite remember something of significance that happened a long time ago, something Erro and Ermi will get answers for someday. 

You play as Erro, the hero of this game. Your mission is to traverse each world and collect different access keys from the world's rulers. Joining you is your lovable buddy, Ermi, whose ByteBullets give the game its name.

Erro can dispatch enemies with his trusty sword while Ermi can whittle them down and gain Erro energy for powerful special attacks. Both characters can attack simultaneously as a team. Try to combine their strengths to gain an edge in combat. Hitting an enemy charges up the player's energy; gain enough and you can perform some deadly powerful Special Moves which Erro and Ermi discover along their journey.
